Over the course of 2016 we completed an OPEN RULES PROJECT with Innovate UK and the University of York to enable business users to express data quality rules.
The project was 12 months in duration and we had numerous participants from industry as well as a UK Regulator.
The goals of the project were to reduce the workload and errors in implementing data quality, enable subject experts to directly impact data quality and reduce the workload on IT departments.
Our research and development on this topic resulted in us being invited to speak on Machine Readable Natural Rules Language at the “Setting Global Standards for Granular Data: Sharing the Challenge” workshop hosted by the European Central Bank, the Bank of England and the US Office of Financial Research, in Frankfurt, Germany, 28th-29th March 2017.
